How do motion pictures portray photojournalists both still photographers and television cameramen in film? Do these depictions present stereotypes of visual journalists, and are ethical considerations taken into affect? This book attempts to find answers to these questions through a scholarly approach. By querying the Image of the Journalist in Popular Culture Database through the University of Southern CaliforniaAnnenberg, and critiquing the evident and implied characteristics of photojournalists portrayed in movies from 1954 to 2006, the author is able to draw certain conclusions from the findings of this study.
