I picked up the Rick Steves Amsterdam guide for my trip last summer, and it was super helpful. It gave me great tips on where to eat and stay, plus all the must-see sights without the fluff. Really made my trip smoother!

Not what I expected
I’ve had other Rick Steves guides that were fantastic, but this one wasn’t as detailed as I hoped. Some sections felt rushed and missed key attractions. I ended up using the internet more often than the book.

This guide has a lot of useful information about the Netherlands, but I found it a bit bulky to carry around all day. Still, the info on public transport and cultural insights were spot on. Just wish it were a bit lighter!
