They counsel a path of moderation in ones actions and reverence for the natural world, which they view as mother to humanity. Mongolians believe that if natural resources are taken without thanking the spirits for what they have given, those resources will not be replaced. Unlike many other cultures whose shamanic traditions were undermined by modern civilization, shamans in the remote areas of southern Siberia and Mongolia are still the guardians of the environment, the community, and the natural order.

This book is a gem! Riding Windhorses really captures the essence of Mongolian shamanistic practices. I was captivated by the stories, although the used condition meant it had a few stains. Overall, I'm glad I bought it!

Interesting but a bit worn out
I bought this used copy of Riding Windhorses' book for my research on shamanism. The content is engaging and informative, but the book was in a rougher condition than I expected with some dog-eared pages. Still, it was worth it for the knowledge within.

I was really looking forward to reading Riding Windhorses' book, but the used condition left a lot to be desired. The cover was pretty worn and some pages were torn. The content is great, but I wish I had opted for a new copy instead.

A Fascinating Read on Shamanism
I picked up this used book, 'A Journey into the Heart of Mongolian Shamanism' by Riding Windhorses, and it’s been a real eye-opener. The insights into Mongolian culture and their spiritual practices are beautifully narrated. Just a heads up, it had some markings from the previous owner, but it didn't distract from my reading experience!
