Sie ist ein relativ unscheinbarer Teil der Ablauforganisation. Personen in und auerhalb eines Lebensversicherungsunternehmens sehen die Risikoprfung nur selten; und wenn, dann selten positiv. Kunden erleben sie, wenn sie zum Arzt gehen sollen, um ein rztliches Attest fr die Beantragung einer Lebensversicherung zu bringen. Mitarbeitern im Verkauf werden die Entscheidungen der Risikoprfung unangenehm bewusst, wenn sie ihren Kunden erklren mssen, warum diese mehr Versicherungsprmie zahlen sollen als ursprnglich vereinbart wurde. Die vorliegende Arbeit soll einen berblick ber die Risikoprfung in der Lebensversicherung geben. Die Breite und die Tiefe der wissenschaftlichen Themen soll so dargelegt werden, dass die zentralen Aussagen der Teilbereiche der Risikoprfung herausgearbeitet werden. Besonders Augenmerk wird auf die Relevanz der unterschiedlichen Bereiche in der betriebswirtschaftlichen Praxis und der Risikoprfung als Gesamtkonzept gelegt. Es soll vor allem die Frage beantwortet werden, was die Prfung von Risiken iZm Lebensversicherung bedeutet und warum die Risikoprfung ein Werkzeug ist, das den Erfolg eines Lebensversicherungsunternehmens wesentlich mitbeeinflusst. Die vorliegende Arbeit beschrnkt sich dabei auf den deutschsprachigen Raum. Zu guter Letzt soll auch der eine oder andere Irrtum im Zusammenhang mit der Risikoprfung aufgeklrt werden. Was antwortet ein Risikoprfer auf die Frage eines Kunden: Mein Hausarzt hat mir gesagt, dass ich geheilt bin. Wieso reden Sie von bersterblichkeit'? Bedeutet das, dass ich nicht mehr lange zu leben habe?"
