Wie sich bei der Behandlung dieser Frage herausstellen wird, berhrt diese Fragestellung implizit auch andere der vielen Themengebiete, die der Zyklus streift. Insbesondere wird das Verhltnis von Realitt und Konjunktiv einen zentralen Stellenwert erhalten. Um dies angemessen behandeln zu knnen, wird diese Arbeit mit dem Begriff des konjunktivischen Feldes agieren, den einzufhren und zu erlutern zuvor noch unternommen werden mu. Hierfr wird ein kurzer Ausblick auf frhere und gleichzeitige Literatur des Expressionismus vorzunehmen sein. Dabei hofft der Verfasser ber die Auseinandersetzung mit Gottfried Benn und seiner Gestaltungsweise mglicherweise einen neuen Impuls zum Verstndnis der ganzen klassischen Moderne geben zu knnen.
