Untersucht wurde die Arbeitsteilung zwischen Mann und Frau im antiken Griechenland und die spezifischen Rollen von Mnnern und Frauen. Es wurde teilweise auch mit Sekundrliteratur (Pomeroy, SchnurrRedford u.a.)gearbeitet, allerdings handelt es sich hier vornehmlich um ein quellenzentriertes Werk.
