It should not be necessary to have to refute the false teaching that St. Augustine first brought Christianity to Britain, but unfortunately it is. "St. Paul in Britain" shows that the truth is much more glorious than the fiction. Not only was the faith planted here over five centuries before Augustine's arrival, but it is much more likely that Christianity took root in Britain before it was established in Rome. The Rev. Richard Williams Morgan (18151889), although the author of many books, is best known perhaps for "St. Paul in Britain", a most valuable study, in which he brings forth little known evidence from original sources, resulting in a case which would appear to be unanswerable.
