I recently started using the Science Starters book for my 7th-grade class, and it’s a hit! The attention grabbers are fun and really engage my students. It’s easy to pick and choose activities to fit my lesson plans, making my job a lot smoother.

Not What I Expected
I was a bit disappointed with this Science Starters book. Some activities seemed outdated and didn’t capture my students' interest as I hoped. Also, the layout isn’t very engaging, which made it harder to get them excited about science.

Some Good Ideas, But Not All Fit
The Science Starters book has over 1000 activities, which is impressive. However, not every activity suits my 6th graders. A few were a bit too complex. I do appreciate that it has ready-to-use ideas, but I wish there was more variety in the difficulty level.
