The book has sixtyeight of the authors' favorite rides: fortyfour main rides plus twentyfour variations. Each ride has a detailed map, a turnbyturn cue sheet, a milebymile elevation profile, and a description. Distances range from twentythree to sixtyfour miles and difficulty ranges from easy to very difficult.The book is largeformat (8.5 in x 11 in) and each cue is presented on one page facing its map, instead of spread out over several small pages. The rides are organized by four areas: Frederick and Montgomery County in Maryland, and The Plains and Warrenton/Nokesville in Virginia. Included in the rides are four local multiuse trails, such as the Washington & Old Dominion trail.The authors are donating all profits from sales of this book to the Davis Phinney Foundation to benefit Parkinson's disease research.
