Das vorliegende Buch nimmt die Vision des Zeitalters technischer Bilder auf, wobei es allerdings in der Anlage zurfickhaltender ist und gestfitzt auf empirische Studien der Frage nachgeht, ob und wie tech nische Bilder die Weltaneignung von Heranwachsenden verandert ha ben. Als MaBstab der Veranderung wird auf einen etwas in Verges senheit geratenen padagogischen Begriff zUrUckgegriffen und zwar auf das Prinzip Anschaulichkeit und in Erweiterung auf das neu ent wickelte Konzept der 'visuellen Lesefahigkeit'.
