I bought this thinking it would be a comprehensive guide to MacNeice’s work, but the collection felt disjointed and random. Some essays were interesting, but others didn’t resonate with me. Wish I had checked more reviews before purchasing.

Decent Criticism, but Lacks Depth
I enjoyed some of MacNeice's critiques, but I wished there were more analysis on lesser-known works. It's a good read if you're familiar with his poetry, but don’t expect extensive commentary on every piece. Just okay for me.
