Los pedreros regresaron para el ltimo trimestre de 1810 a la cabecera de Chimalhuacn Atenco, con nuevas proclamas. Tras largos meses de ausencia, al reincorporarse se manifestaron en la plaza del pueblo de Santa Mara Xochiaca ubicado a la orilla del Lago de Texcoco; dicindo ante su autoridad que eran: libres, tenan derechos y eran iguales. Aunado a ello hicieron saber que no entregaran el tributo correspondiente al ltimo trimestre del ao. Por mercados y caminos que formaban parte de su regin vivida haban abordado los conceptos antes expresados, conceptos que circulaban y tranformaban el pensamiento de quienes los escuchaban. Apoyados en ellos exijieron a la autoridad indgena y espaola ser llamados y reconocidos como indios mestizos o indios ciudadanos sin olvidar el ser tratados como ciudadanos de la nacin.
