Inspired by the until now built Serpentine Gallery pavilions, an attempt is made to design a pavilion for the year 2010. After a short introduction to Serpentine Gallery, all the pavilions of the years 2000 until 2009 are examined. After formulating the significance of a new design, the conditions for a new design are set. A short analysis of well known pavilions is given. Using a pipe dream, an impression is given before coming to a new design. Several steps of the design process are described. The solution to some constructional problems is given.
