I bought this Sevcik for Violin book for my daughter, and it’s been perfect for her lessons. The scales and arpeggios are laid out nicely; it really helps her nail her technique! The Kalmus edition is worth every penny for young violinists.

I was hoping for a more comprehensive guide with additional exercises. The Sevcik scales and arpeggios book is alright, but I feel like some more depth would have been nice. The Kalmus edition seems basic, but I guess it serves its purpose for beginners.

Useful but could use a few examples
I find the Sevcik for Violin scales and arpeggios book quite helpful, but sometimes I wish there were more examples for each scale. The Kalmus edition is solid, though, and the layout is clear. Overall, it’s a good guide for intermediate players like me!

Solid book but arrived a bit bent
The content of the Sevcik scales and arpeggios book is exactly what I needed, but it arrived with some bends on the cover. It doesn’t affect the usability, but it was disappointing to see. The Kalmus edition itself is nicely done, but maybe packaging could be improved.
