Many of us experience shame on a regular basis. We compare ourselves to others and feel deficient. We look at our pasts and hope no one will find out what we?ve doneor what was done to us. We doubt and isolate ourselves in light of previous rejection or failure. Our shame is unpleasant, even paralyzing. But there is hope for shamefilled souls! Our Savior willingly sacrificed everythingeven diedso that shame would not have the final say in your life. Now he empowers you to change. Writing both as a biblical counselor and fellow struggler, Esther Liu takes us on a thirtyone day journey to discover lasting comfort. Explore the depths of God?s grace for you; respond to Christ?s invitation to rest; and use practical action points, reflection questions, and devotional insights to reshape your instinctive responses to God, others, and yourself.

I was a bit disappointed with 'Shame: Being Known and Loved'. The subject matter sounded promising, but I felt the writing was a bit scattered and hard to follow. I wanted more practical advice rather than just theory. Maybe it's just not the right fit for me, but I expected a lot more clarity.

A worthwhile read for personal growth
I picked up 'Shame: Being Known and Loved' hoping to find some guidance on my self-acceptance journey. The insights are incredibly valuable and really resonate with my experiences. It's a beautiful mix of vulnerability and strength that left me feeling empowered. Highly recommend it for anyone struggling with similar feelings!

Insightful but a bit heavy
This book has some great points about shame and love, but I found it quite intense at times. I appreciated the depth of the discussions, but it took me a while to digest everything. It's definitely a good read if you're ready to confront some deep emotions. Just be prepared for some tough topics!
