The down side was that all these wrecks lay in the nightmarish waters of the Great Lakessome of the deepest, darkest, coldest, and most dangerous waters in the world. On October 16, 1994, Danny Fader, at the age 48, bubbled down so deep into Lake Huron that almost no light penetrated from above. He hoped to secure what he thought might be a lost treasure. It turned out to be the last wreck dive of his life. In just a few desperate minutes, everything went wrong. What he needed was a miracle. What followed was a remarkable story of courage, a stubborn refusal to accept what seemed to be an inevitable tragedy, and the stunning power of his profound faith.
