Vielleicht wird dann auch die Kluft zwischen dem ComputerFreak und dem traditionellen Professor der Siedlungswasserwirtschaft, der weder Mathematik noch Computer liebt, zum Nutzen beider bewltigt sein. Zur Zeit kann angenommen werden, da noch eine Generation darber vergehen wird. Diese Situation steht im Gegensatz zur Hochschulausbildung in den USA, Grobritannien und anderen Lndern. Eine Unterscheidung zwischen Qualitt und Quantitt wird durch den Rech ner nicht erleichtert. Die Undurchsichtigkeit eines komplizierten Rechenpro grammes, die fehlende Informatikausbildung und Rechnererfahrung des Ingeni eurs ermglichen einem Systemanalytiker, mit einem heuristischen Modell ein drucksvollen Datensalat auf farbigem Bildschirm zu prsentieren. Jargon und Fachausdrcke sind wichtig. Letztere kommen aus dem Amerikanischen, klingen lateinisch und deshalb wissenschaftlich. Ein" heuristisches Modell" (Heuristik: Wissenschaft von den nichtmathematischen Methoden zur Erkenntnisfindung) besteht, zum Beispiel, aus Rechenanweisungen, die der Systemanalytiker auf grund seiner Erfahrung programmiert, indem er vielleicht versucht, hnlich intuitiv wie der Ingenieur in der Praxis vorzugehen. Das entstandene Rechen programm kann auch mit den Anweisungen eines Roboters verglichen werden, der den erfahrenen Facharbeiter ersetzen soll.
