The demand for sophisticated frequency converters in the industry has recently increased. Hence, the tools for simulation and performance verification of such converters or control systems which embedded them are also needed to save both money and time. The book describes the implementation of fully operating simulink model of the high voltage frequency converter PowerFlex7000. The model is thoroughly tested in several speed and torque regulations with induction (asynchronous) machines of various power and load characteristics. The comparison between scalar frequency converters is also made.
