El presente trabajo describe el proceso de diseo y desarrollo de un sistema inteligente virtual y en lnea para monitorear, alertar, registrar y analizar los cambios sucedidos durante el proceso de generacin geotermoelctrica, lo cual ser de ayuda para optimizar el uso eficiente del recurso geotrmico, planear oportunamente los mantenimientos de las unidades y en caso de ser necesario analizar la factibilidad de una modernizacin y/o rehabilitacin de sus componentes principales. Adems tiene un mdulo de alarmas que notifica en lnea sobre posibles fallas en el proceso y un mdulo inteligente basado en modelos de inteligencia artificial para apoyar la toma de decisiones sobre la revisin y solucin de las fallas. El sistema es totalmente interactivo basado en modelos de instrumentacin virtual y modelos de inteligencia artificial, para permitir que en cada unidad se realicen configuraciones, monitoreo, consultas y reportes respecto a la operacin.
