I picked up "An American Teenager and the City That Failed Him" by Sito, and it really resonated with my experiences growing up. The narrative is so authentic and captures the struggles of adolescence and urban life. Highly recommend it for anyone who feels lost in their teenage years!

Insightful but Somewhat Heavy
This book is definitely thought-provoking, but I felt like it dragged in some parts. Sito's writing about the challenges a teenager faces in the city is vivid and powerful. I enjoyed it, though I think it could have been a bit more uplifting!

Not What I Expected
Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with this book. The themes were heavy, and I didn't connect with the protagonist at all. Maybe it's just not for me, but I expected a lighter read about being a teen. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something fun.
