As with his earlier ballet Swan Lake, Tchaikovsky contemplated the creation of a concert suite taken from the enormous ballet score but never realized the project. The fivemovement suite was most likely arranged by Alexander Siloti and published by Jurgenson in 1899. This newly engraved edition is a licensed reissue of the 2011 large conductor's score published by E.F. Kalmus now in an inexpensive, convenient format.
