Die Genisis Studie stellt fest, dass eine nachhaltige Globalisierung nur dann mglich ist, wenn smtliche Akteure der Gesellschaft ihre Bottom Lines bercksichtigen. Soziale, kologische und finanzielle Bereiche mssen gleichwertig behandelt werden. Dieser Grundansatz findet sich sowohl im Social Business als auch in der Venture Philanthropy wieder. Anhand des wachsenden Sektors der Zivilgesellschaft knnte die Annahme berechtigt sein, dass auch zunehmend Social Business StartUps in den Markt treten, die dann hnliche Schwierigkeiten zu bewltigen haben wie die bisher untersuchten Grndungen. Die Arbeit beschftigt sich daher mit der mglichen Untersttzung von Social Business StartUps durch Venture Philanthropy Gesellschaften und will einen Beitrag zur Entwicklung des jungen Marktes leisten. Da der deutsche Markt bisher wenig erschlossen ist und vielfach lediglich theoretische Mglichkeiten diskutiert werden, wird die Frage beleuchtet, ob sich Venture Philanthropy grundstzlich fr Social Business StartUps anbietet und wie relevant das Thema fr den deutschen Markt ist. Um zu einer Antwort zu gelangen, wurden neben wissenschaftlicher Literatur aktuelle Studien und Presseberichte sowie relevante Tagungsunterlagen zum Thema Social Entrepreneurship zu Rate gezogen. Darber hinaus wurden unstrukturierte Expertengesprche mit Michael AlbergSeberich und Oliver Stark gefhrt. Diese dienten in erster Linie dazu, ein Gefhl fr die unterschiedlichen Fragestellungen, die das Modell Social Business und das Thema Venture Philanthropy aufwerfen, zu entwickeln.
