En el espacio pblico los sujetos se encuentran y confrontan mediante la palabra y la accin, en torno a los asuntos que ataen al futuro comn, esto es, espacio de definicin de identidades, construccin de ciudadana y lugar de encuentro de la comunicacin y la poltica. Histricamente las relaciones sociales han construido un rgimen de comunicacin para construir este espacio, utilizando los recursos tcnicos a su disposicin. En la actualidad los medios masivos, en particular la TV, son el dispositivo que de manera predominante interviene en la constitucin del espacio pblico, en tanto que permite la visibilizacin y la autorepresentacin de la sociedad. La mediatizacin de la sociedad refiere a esta centralidad de los medios masivos en la construccin de significaciones sociales que modifican nuestras prcticas. A pesar de esto las polticas pblicas en Argentina han dejado en manos de los intereses privados la construccin de lo pblico. En este contexto de centralidad de los medios y de inters por recuperar la Televisin Pblica, este trabajo parte de la vinculacin de la comunicacin/poltica para analizar cmo se presenta la vida pblica en un canal pblico.
