The latest explosion in radio communications caused by the cellular mobile phone is a prime contributor to the effort being invested in Software Defined Radio. Investigation and implementation of state of the art processing module of Software defined radio on Digital Signal Processor TMS320C6713 kit is performed in this manuscript. The aim of this manuscript is to extend the digital domain by implementing modulation, demodulation, and other required processing tasks in software. The software platform adopted for implementation is Code Composer Studio (CCS) and MATLAB. Code is generated in C language for the required processing schemes. Real time implementation of highly applicable MODEM techniques such as Amplitude Shift Keying (ASK), Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) and Phase Shift Keying (Binary PSK and Quadrature PSK) is successfully performed.
