Der Bochumer Sonderforschungsbereich 187 beschftigt sich mit der Entwicklung und Bewertung von CIMSystemen auf der Basis teilauto nomer flexibler Fertigungsstrukturen. Flexible Arbeitssysteme oder Ferti gungsinseln setzen eine datentechnische Untersttzung bei den anfallen den dezentralen Planungs und Steuerungsaufgaben voraus. Die wirt schaftlichen und sozialen Vorteile dezentraler Arbeitsstrukturen werden jedoch entscheidend von einer Software mitgeprgt, die die Zusam menarbeit der Gruppenmitglieder in adquater Weise untersttzt. Eine zentrale Frage ist es also, welche besonderen Anforderungen sich aus dem organisatorischen Konzept der Gruppenarbeit an eine ergonomische Softwaregestaltung ergeben. Aus diesem Grund hat der Sonderforschungsbereich 187 einen zweit gigen Workshop zum Thema "Benutzungsoberflchen in der teilautono men Gruppenarbeit" durchgefhrt, von dem ausgewhlte Beitrge in die sem Band dokumentiert sind. Es wurde darauf Wert gelegt, sowohl Wis senschaftler unterschiedlicher Disziplinen als auch Vertreter aus der Pra xis zusammenzufhren, um eine breite, interdisziplinre Sicht auf den Problemkreis zu gewinnen. Im Rahmen eines ganzheitlichen Gestaltungsansatzes, der den Benut zer in seinem Aufgaben und Organisationskontext betrachtet, werden die vielfltigen technischen, psychologischen und organisatorischen Aspekte computergesttzter Gruppenarbeit zusammengetragen. Zustzlich wer den Gestaltungsoptionen, Richtungen und Schwerpunkte zuknftiger For schung in diesem Problemfeld aufgezeigt und Methoden zur Realisierung benutzerfreundlicher Gruppensoftware vorgestellt. Whrend die Forschungsaktivitten im Bereich der computergesttz ten Gruppenarbeit derzeit intensiviert werden, stehen praktische Gestal tungslsungen, insbesondere fr den Bereich der Produktion, noch aus.
