Se presenta una metodologa para aplicar el mtodo eulerianolagrangiano localizado adjunto (ELLAM) a las ecuaciones de flujo y transporte no lineal en un medio poroso. La aplicacin se realiza a la ecuacin de adveccindifusinreaccin y a la ecuacin del flujo del agua en un suelo (ecuacin de Richards) en dos dimensiones. La metodologa consiste en aplicar previamente una tcnica de linealizacin tipo TaylorFrcht. Esta linealizacin es bsicamente una expansin alrededor de valores de la variable dependiente en un paso de tiempo previo, a lo largo de las lneas caractersticas. En esta expansin, los trminos de segundo orden se desprecian, generndose un operador modificado lineal. Tal estrategia permite obtener una aproximacin de segundo orden de precisin en el tiempo, independientemente si se emplea una tcnica iterativa o no iterativa. Un anlisis de la propagacin de propiedades numricas para la ecuacin de transporte lineal, muestra que ELLAM no tiene errores de fase lo cual hace que esta metodologa solucione de forma muy precisa problemas fuertemente dominados por adveccin.
