Dr. Anderson was a horse trainer and instructor who believes in the connection of horse and human, particularly with children and children with special needs. This book is based upon a real Thoroughbred horse named Noble Winston, rescued by the author. The illustrator is an accomplished dressage rider who also has roots of harness racing in her native Finland. She holds a B.S. in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric/Adolescent Eating Disorders. Her art medium is acrylics, oils, and watercolors.
