Mit der PISAStudie mssen sich 15jhrige Schler weltweit messen lassen und geben damit Aufschluss ber das Bildungssystem ihres Herkunftslandes. Das Bildungssystem in Deutschland ist so die Ergebnisse der PISAStudien eines der Chancenungleichheiten: die soziale Abstammung bestimmt Bildungschancen, welche wiederum Arbeitschancen und somit Lebenschancen bestimmen. Kurz gesagt: Armut in Deutschland wird sozial vererbt. Seit etwa zehn Jahren ist die Fachffentlichkeit damit beschftigt, vehement auf dieses Problem hinzuweisen und die Politik will jetzt handeln, indem Chancengleichheit von Anfang an als Rechtsanspruch auf einen Kinderkrippenplatz mit einem Lebensjahr durch das KifG in das SGB VIII aufgenommen wurde bzw. ab 2013 verwirklicht sein soll. Dies scheint dringend ntig in einer zunehmend individualisierten und pluralisierten Welt von morgen, in der Deutschland als Exportland den globalen Anschluss nicht verlieren darf. Global sind auch einige Lsungen, die das Bildungssystem im Elementarbereich sucht: endlich ist eine einheitliche Positionierung der Erzieherin an Universitten und (Fach)Hochschulen in Sicht, wie es fast in ganz Europa der Fall ist. Es werden neue Anstze diskutiert, wie Bildungs und Lerngeschichten als qualitative und individuelle Entwicklungsforschung in Kindertageseinrichtungen nach dem Beispiel Neuseeland oder Transitionskonzepte aus Schweden.
