Ein Phnomen, das bei seinem Auftreten eine umfassende gesellschaftliche chtung erfhrt und gleichzeitig allgegenwrtig ist. In der medialen Berichtserstattung nimmt sie eine exponierte Stellung ein. Und es sind jene beispiellose Verbrechen und Grausamkeiten der Menschheitsgeschichte, die regelmig die Frage aufwerfen, warum Menschen zu solchen Handlungen fhig sind und was sie zu diesen bewegt. Zahlreiche Paradigmen und Teilbereiche der Psychologie haben unterschiedliche Erklrungsanstze entwickelt, um das Phnomen Gewalt zu erklren. Diese reichen von Psychoanalytischen, Biologischen ber Sozial und Persnlichkeitspsychologische. Dieser Essay soll die Fragen nach der Ursache von Gewalt ebenfalls nher behandeln. Der Gesamtheit dieser Erklrungsanstze wird hierbei zunchst nur wenig Beachtung geschenkt, sondern ein alternativer und weniger konventioneller Zugang zu der Thematik gewhlt. Nachfolgend werden Erklrungskomponenten fr die Ursachen und das Auftreten von Gewalt aus einer spirituellen Sichtweise skizziert. Dieser Ansatz geht von der Annahme aus, dass via spirituelle Praxis Einsichten in das Wesen der Gewalt erreicht werden knnen, die einem Auenstehenden verborgen bleiben. Meditation stellt sich hierbei als zentrale Methode zum Erreichen jener okkulten Erkenntnisse dar, mittels derer dieser Zugang realisiert werden kann. Es wird hierbei weiterhin zu thematisieren sein, ob die Spiritualitt als Quelle wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnis eine legitime Nutzung
