Vor dem Hintergrund psychologischer und linguistischer Theorien untersucht die Autorin die Rezeption komplexer Temporalstze. Im Zentrum des Interesses steht dabei der Einflu des Kontextes auf die Sprachverarbeitung. Es werden Modellvorstellungen zur Struktur und Verarbeitung temporaler Ausdrcke auf der Wort, der Satz und der Textebene errtert. In zwei OnlineLeseexperimenten weist die Autorin erstmals nach, da ein Temporalsatz abhngig vom Kontext prinzipiell unterschiedlich verstanden wird. Kontextspezifitt wird im Licht einer allgemeinen kognitiven Konzeption menschlicher Sprachverarbeitung diskutiert.
