Leider nehmen Analysen dieser Art in unserem Schrifttum nur einen sehr bescheidenen Platz ein. Aus diesem Grunde wurde den 'Spiitergebnissen' operativer Behandlungs verfahren ein Hauptthema bei der 35. Jahrestagung Nordwestdeutscher Ortho piiden in Kiel, im Juni 1985, gewidmet. Uber 21/2 Tage stellten zahlreiche Referenten ihre mehr als 10jiihrigen Behandlungsergebnisse aus den ver schiedensten Bereichen der Orthopiidie vor und teilten wertvolle Erkenntnisse sowie Erfahrungen mit. In den Diskussionen bestand ausreichend Zeit und Gelegenheit, Unklarheiten auszuriiumen, angedeutete Probleme zu vertiefen und Anregungen zur Ver besserung von Behandlungsmethoden vorzuschlagen. Die Vortriige und Aus sprachen stieJ3en auf groJ3es Interesse. Dies hat uns veranlaJ3t, die Manuskripte mit den iiberarbeiteten Diskussionsbeitriigen in monographischer Form einem breiten Kreis von Interessenten zugiingig zu machen.
