This book provides a detailed introduction to the preparation and characterization of microwave dielectric materials. Dielectric and structural investigation on Sr1?3x/2CexTiO3 (x=0.133 to 0.4) based ceramics is also presented. These materials posses high permittivity varying from 113 to 180 and quality factor of 8000 to 11000 GHz at 2 GHz and relatively high temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (?f). While no superlattice can be observed via xray diffraction or vibrational spectroscopy, both electron and neutron diffraction show evidence of a noncubic supercell caused by antiphase tilting of oxygen octahedra. Pb substitution for Sr induces a ferroelectric transition.
