Standards for Data Collection has indeed become a standard for use as a manual in physical anthropology, bioarcheology, and human osteology research laboratories and college courses across North America. Originally created in anticipation of the need to document skeletal collections prior to NAGPRA repatriation, the volume is now a popular favorite among practitioners and students. Now in its 10th printing with a new, more durable plastic coil spiral binding.

I was really looking forward to this book, but I found it lacking in clarity and practical examples. Maybe I had high expectations after the seminar, but it didn't fulfill them for me. Not quite what I hoped for.

A Must-Have for Forensic Enthusiasts
I attended the seminar at the Field Museum where this book was discussed, and I'm so glad I picked it up. The proceedings are thorough and cover so many important standards for data collection. Perfect for anyone in the forensic field or studying anthropology!

Informative but Dense
This book has a wealth of information on data collection from skeletal remains, but I found parts of it a bit hard to digest. Maybe it's more suited for advanced researchers. Still, the insights are invaluable if you're willing to put in the effort.
