She has written poetry since the age of 8, and although her verses are autobiographical and subjective, she believes they still fit the ultimate definition of poetry, "emotion recalled in tranquility." Originally from Red Bank, New Jersey, she has lived in DeLand, Florida, where she had graduated form Stetson University, for the last thirty years. Her two sons and four grandchildren live nearby.
