This volume presents a selection of the letters of Ronald Aylmer Fisher, a pioneer in the methodology of twentieth century scientific research whose work on the principles of inductive inference greatly enlarged our understanding of the nature of uncertainty and contributed fundamentally to the philosophy of our age.
