This Festschrift, in honor of Dr. Stowell C. Goding, was compiled as a lasting tribute to this most distinguished scholar of the French language and foreignlanguage education. In the introductory portion, in addition to a chronology of Dr. Goding's achievements, and three of his recollective short stories, the editor includes his personal and engaging interview with Dr. Goding, conducted at the Goding farm in 199192. Part One consists of ten essays by authors of national and international renown. Topics include French literature and foreignlanguage education and methodology. Twelve personal vignettes comprise Part Two, and reflect the positive impact Dr. Goding has had on the lives of so many over his long and productive career. Through their common interests and appreciation, the 18 contributors share in Mel Yoken's homage to Dr. Stowell C. Goding.
