Hierbei wird in einem theoretischen Teil anhand des Modells zu komparativen Kostenvorteilen von Heckscher und Ohlin zunchst exemplarisch errtert, welche internationalen Handelsstrme sich zwischen den beteiligten Volkswirtschaften einstellen und warum dies im entsprechenden Umfang der Fall ist. Eng verbunden mit den Erluterungen zum Warenaustausch ist die Diskussion um die Folgen eines langanhaltenden Exportaufschwungs auf die jeweiligen Leistungsbilanzsalden der Handelspartner in Form sich verndernder Terms of Trade, denn infolge konstant gestiegener Rohlpreise der letzten Monate und Jahre kommt ihnen bei Whrungsschwankungen eine herausragende Rolle zu. Gegenstand von Kapitel 3 ist die Darstellung von Strategien zur Lsung des Problems der Hollndischen Krankheit, welche das Resultat prosperierender Rohstoffexporte bei Vernachlssigung notwendiger Begleitmanahmen ist. Der Fokus liegt diesbezglich auf der Unterscheidung zwischen investiver bzw. distributiver Verteilung der Exporterlse aus dem Auenhandelsberschuss im jeweiligen Inland. Welches Ausma der pltzliche Rohstoffreichtum annehmen kann, zeigt ein Exkurs in Kapitel 3.5 am Beispiel Russlands.
