Stress ein Begriff, der jedem gelufig ist. Doch was beeinflusst die physiologische Stressreaktion unseres Krpers? Knnen frhe Stress und Schmerzerfahrungen langfristig unsere krperliche Stressantwort verndern? In der vorliegenden Studie wurde der Einfluss von Schmerz und Stresserlebnissen unmittelbar nach der Geburt auf die langfristige endokrine Stressreaktion untersucht. Hierzu dienten Schulkinder, welche die beschriebenen Erfahrungen gemacht haben, als Probanden. Durch die Erfassung der basalen und stressinduzierten Cortisolkonzentration im Speichel konnten Unterschiede von Kindern mit frhen Schmerz/Stresserlebnissen zu Kindern ohne solche Erfahrungen festgestellt werden. Diese deskriptiven Differenzen wurden jedoch nicht signifikant. Mittlere Effektstrken untersttzen aber die Annahme, dass bei Verbesserung der Teststrke unter anderem durch eine grere Stichprobe und strkere Kontrolle von Strvariablen signifikante Einflsse frher Schmerzerfahrungen auf die sptere HHNAAktivitt entdeckt werden knnten.
