This book gives an overview of a structural description of the Noun Phrase of Kafi Noonoo. Kafi Noonoo kafa mouth is the language of Kafa people. Kafa, the homeland of coffee, is the name of an old kingdom located in the southwest part of Ethiopia. We call ourselves Kafecho, our land Kafa and our language, Kafi Noonoo. Kafi Noonoo is spoken in the province of Kafa, located in the southwestern part of Ethiopia. It is also spoken in pockets in Mizan Teferi, Teppi, Sheye Bench and Jimma towns in the southwestern part of the country. Nowadays, over a million people are using the language as a first language. Kafi Noonoo (an SOV wordorder language) is an Afroasiatic language belonging to the Omotic family, North Omotic by subfamily, KafaGimojan (or Gonga) by group and Kafa by subgroup. Kafi Noonoo is minimally studied language as compared to most Ethiopian languages. In this book, a thorough analysis and description of the structure of the noun phrases in language is done, particularly with the aim of identifying the noun phrase constituents in the structure of the language and showing the possible combinations of linguistic elements within the noun phrase.
