I bought this book for my son's high school chemistry class, and it's been helpful. The chapters are laid out well, making it easy to follow. Just wish it came with additional practice problems, though.

Decent textbook but some outdated info
The Modern Chemistry textbook is pretty solid for the most part. However, I found a few sections that seemed a bit outdated compared to my other science books. Still, it covers most of what she needs for her studies.

Great resource for high school chemistry
I got the Holt McDougal Modern Chemistry book for my daughter this year. It’s easy to understand, and the examples really help her grasp the concepts. She’s already feeling more confident in her chemistry class!

Not impressed with the condition it arrived
I was disappointed when the Holt McDougal Modern Chemistry textbook arrived with a few bent pages and a scratched cover. It functions fine, but I expected better quality for a new book. Hopefully, it holds up throughout the year.
