Present work deals with study on antioxidant compund 6 gingerol.Attempts have been made to collect and assess the 6gingerol content from across the India.Mutation breeding was done in Selected ginger cultivar and that to be assessed at biochemical level. Tissue cultural work callus induction and micropropagation was achieved in ginger. The callus and Microporpagated plats have been also analysed for pungent compound 6gingerol. So this peace of work will be helpful for the student at P.G. Level and research student at doctorate level who are working on spices or specifically ginger.
