As the threat of war with Jiou looms near, the Azami army and the guilds prepare to conduct military exercises. Everyone is split up and placed into different departments to help with the preparations, but only Lloyd is put on mess reserve. I was a bit disappointed with this one. The plot felt repetitive and didn't bring much new to the table compared to previous volumes. Hope the next one picks up the pace!

Loved the new characters introduced!
Vol. 12 really expanded on the world and introduced some fun new characters. The interactions are hilarious and I'm deeply invested in the storyline. Highly recommend it if you love light novels!

Good read but slow in parts
This volume had some great moments, but I felt like some chapters dragged a bit. Still, the humor and heart of the story kept me going. I’m a big fan of the whole series!

I just finished Vol. 12 and wow, the story just keeps getting better. The character development is on point and I'm loving the new adventures in the starter town. Can't wait for the next volume!
