In the present study, a stable and convenient form of beadshaped heterogeneous nanoparticle catalyst viz., PSPVBCPPI(G2)AuNPs was synthesized using insoluble crosslinked polymersupported PSPVBC beads as a matrix and its catalytic activity was examined with Knovenegal condensation reaction. These PSPVBCPPIG2AuNPs catalyst was able to catalyze the reaction 24 times faster compared to conventional technique. These catalysts maintained its catalytic efficiency even upto five times of recycles. As these catalysts are bead shaped, it can be very well packed into a column reactor and thus the condensation reaction can be conducted in continue mode operation.
