Water everywhere but many people still lack water to drink. One of the greatest challenges faced in Cameroon is the supply of portable drinking water to the population. The importance of water cannot be overemphasized, as its use for domestic, agricultural and commercial or industrial activities is indispensable. Ensuring an adequate supply of water both in quality and quantity should be a priority as it is a necessary commodity. A lot of studies have been made over the years and a great deal has been learned and considerable progress made in the provision of basic water to the poor. In Cameroon, some communities around the country are blessed with abundant and clean water sources but lack the means to exploit them. Nevertheless, they are determined to make the availability of clean water a major priority on their developmental agenda.
