Sustainability requirement for channel maintenance, concept of risk based design, uncertainty, community participation are presented. The book provides procedures and case study for determination of waterway parameter, channel dimensioning, dredging output towards meeting requirements towards decision support for efficient utilization of a waterway by large traffic and specify size of the vessel.
