Unfortunately, little attention has been paid to the translation of swearing in the world in general and in Iran in particular. Given this, the author has compiled a book which focuses on the translation of swearing. As for this book, it should be mentioned that this book consists of two parts. In the first part the theories and statements made by different scholars and researchers concerning various aspects of the swearing and the translation of the swearing were mentioned and clarified. In the second part of the book, j. D Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye, in which many swear words and expressions has been used, and its Persian translations were investigated to show what methods were applied by the Persian translators for the translation of swearing and what norms were applied during the process of the Persian translations of the swearing of the story. As a whole, the second part was developed based on the theories and statements mentioned in the first part of the book .In summary, the first and second parts of the book are complementary and the second part of the book puts some theories of the first part of the book into practice.
