La esencia de este libro est orientada bsicamente a contribuir en la formacin del maestro en el proceso de la creacin literaria, quien con el aprendizaje de las herramientas dadas, podr estimular y desarrollar en los jvenes la sensibilidad esttica.El germen de este libro ha sido mi experiencia como docente, impartiendo esa ctedra y, adems, como director de varios talleres en la ciudad de Santa Marta (Colombia). Adems, a partir de ese material, consult, investigu, entrevist, rele otros textos, visit la Internet, convers con directores de talleres, dando como producto este trabajo que apunta a la formacin literaria del maestro. As mismo, considero que todo taller literario es un laboratorio efectivo para la creacin en el que se emplean estrategias para desarrollar diferentes gneros literarios (cuento, poesa, minicuentos) que permitirn el mejor desempeo al momento de crear. Tambin all, se socializan los trabajos, se permite la revisin, las crticas, las opiniones y las sugerencias para optimizar los textos literarios. De esa manera, los maestros se sentirn ms seguros cuando vayan a ensear y a desarrollar en sus estudiantes estos procesos literarios.
