I was really looking forward to this book, but it didn’t meet my expectations. Some chapters felt repetitive, and I struggled to stay engaged. The topics are interesting, but the writing style made it hard to digest. Maybe it’s better suited for academic readers?

A Fascinating Read on Schizophrenia
As someone who works in mental health, I found "Technicians of the Finite" to be an eye-opening exploration of how schizophrenia has been viewed in American thought. The historical context is invaluable, and it really made me rethink some of the common perceptions about the condition. Highly engaging for both professionals and curious readers alike!

Informative but a Bit Dense
This book provides a lot of great information about schizophrenia's portrayal in American culture, but I found some sections to be quite dense. It definitely requires a patient reader. Still, it's worth it for the insights if you can get through the tougher bits. I bought it for my psychology course, and my classmates found it useful too!
