Dem Poli tikwissenschaftler kommt vielmehr die Aufgabe zu, die Politik analysierend zu begleiten, Irrwege aufzuzeigen, Methoden fur rationale Entscheidungen zu entwickeln und zu kunftsorientiert zu argumentieren. Der Komplexitat der Ma terie kann sie nicht als Einzelwissenschaft gerecht werden. Eine solche Zustandigkeitsvermutung wurde einer Selbstuber schatzung gleichkommen. Die wissenschaftliche Untersuchung der Technologiepolitik unter den genannten Zielvorgaben ist nur in interdisziplinaren Forschungen zu bewerkstelligen. Einen Ansatz dazu beinhaltet das vorliegende Buch. Unter dem politischen Aspekt der Steuerungschancen und grenzen sowie der Verantwortungsgrenzen der im politischen System Handelnden sowie mit Blick auf Europa ist eine wis senschaftlich fundierte, die Forschung zu wei teren Fragen anreizende Arbeit vorgelegt worden.
