There are two ways in which armour may be defeated. These are generally classified as Kinetic energy attack and Chemical energy attack. Kinetic energy attack is the oldest method of attacking armour. It depends simply on hitting the target armour with a projectile of sufficiently high velocity to achieve penetration. Projectile/Penetrator material should not bend or break on impact with armour plate .Hence toughness is very significant property of the material which is being used for kinetic energy armour attack. All ammunitions should withstand at two extreme weather conditions i.e. 40 C and 50 C. This book aims to investigate the effect of temperatures on the Charpy impact energy of the tungsten alloy, which is being used for preparation of penetrators by powder metallurgy techniques for the kinetic energy projectiles (Ammunition).
